The Cosmetics Depot & Home Goods is a local business in Ghana specializing in the sale and distribution of top quality, authentic cosmetic products and home goods which are mainly imported from USA.

Brief History

Three decades ago, empowered by wanting to make a difference where we lived in Ghana, we started this family business. In those early years, my mother, sisters, and I were buying products from all over the world–from Asia to the Ivory Coast–and selling them in our shop. We thought we were doing right by our customers by giving them the best variety of products available to us. 

Over time, however, we noticed that most of our customers were gravitating towards certain products–only the highest quality items. We felt we had a responsibility to our customers to bring them only quality products. So, we began phasing out all the other merchandise and replacing it exclusively with high quality, authentic products. 

Armed with my experience with the shop in Ghana, I moved to the United States and decided I would continue the business from here.  In the United States, I have easy access to these top quality products–the same high demand products that our customers have grown to love over the years. 

That’s when the The Cosmetics Depot we know today really took shape. Now, my husband, children, and I run the shop and we’ve adapted to our customers' proclivities. We learned that variety is important, but so is quality and, even more so, authenticity. 

What makes us different from other merchants is that we guarantee the authenticity of our products. There is a quality check done on all our items before they are put on the shelves to be sold or shipped out to our customers. We believe people should get authentic products for their money, but, more importantly, have access to quality products regardless of where they live.  

What started as a simple brick and mortar cosmetics store in Ghana has expanded to now include an online shop that sells not only top quality cosmetics but also authentic baby products, household items, and wellness products.
